Pomysł na piosenkę tygodnia zrodził się ze wspomnień. Kiedy liczba moich wiosen nie przekraczała tajemniczej liczby 18, muzyka towarzyszyła ciągle mojemu życiu.
Śledzenie muzyki, słuchanie list przebojów w radio (tak tak wtedy nie miałem dostępu do Internetu), czytanie prasy muzycznej i ciągłe czekanie na program w TV „30 ton” (parę minut  w telewizji publicznej w sobotę, a mogłem zapoznać się z listą 30 najpopularniejszych utworów) – to wszystko sprawiło, że zacząłem prowadzić własną listę przebojów.
I tak, przez prawie 3 lata wybierałem „piosenkę tygodnia” następnie spośród nich „miesiąca” by z całej 52 utworów wybrać „piosenkę roku”. Taka zabawa, a jednocześnie pomysł na spisanie wszystkiego co słuchałem ja i reszta świata.

Ten pomysł postanowiłem wprowadzić na moim blogu wraz ze zmianą hostingu, profilu bloga i tak początek marca 2015 roku dał początek cyklu „piosenka tygodnia”.
